On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Michael Dwinnell with one count of first-degree child molestation, two counts of second-degree child molestation, and one count of simple assault and battery.
The alleged acts occurred in the Towns of North Smithfield and Woonsocket on days and dates between January 1, 2019, and March 31, 2022. The North Smithfield and Woonsocket Police Departments conducted the investigation.

Aid is moving into the Gaza Strip today on a temporary pier constructed by the U.S. military. The pier is part of an effort to get supplies into the war shattered region where hundreds of thousands face hunger and a humanitarian crisis. The area has seen heavy fighting ever since the October 7th attack on Israel by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
