Jimmy Castro (age 23)

On March 25, 2024, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jimmy Castro with three counts of first-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy.

 

The alleged act occurred in the city of Warwick on or about February 19, 2023. The Warwick Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on April 12, 2024, in Kent County Superior Court.

 

Gissell Starnes (age 19)

On March 25, 2024, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Gissell Starnes with three counts of first-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy.

 

The alleged act occurred in the city of Warwick on or about February 19, 2023. The Warwick Police Department conducted the investigation.

Almost a month after seven of its workers were killed in an Israeli airstrike, World Central Kitchen is resuming its charity work in war-torn Gaza. The DC-based charity, which provides meals to people facing war or natural disaster, said operations will resume today with a Palestinian team delivering food.       A baby is among at least five people killed by a powerful storm system that spawned tornadoes across four states. The four-month-old was one of four people killed in Oklahoma, including one who died at a sports bar hit by a twister. Another person lost their life in Iowa due to storm-related injuries.       The niece of an Israeli-American hostage being held by Hamas in Gaza believes a hostage deal can be reached. Hanna Siegel told CBS's "Face the Nation" the Biden administration has shown it's committed to getting the hostages home who've been held since last October.       President Biden is praising a new labor agreement between the United Auto Workers and Daimler. The UAW and the German truck manufacturer came to an agreement Saturday that avoided a strike of seven-thousand workers at a North Carolina plant and some southern distribution centers.       Baltimore leaders joined community members on Sunday to pay tribute to the six construction workers who lost their lives in the recent Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. The ceremony took place on Workers Memorial Day and it also recognized all who have been injured or lost their lives on the job.       Major League Baseball is planning on updating its much-maligned new uniforms. According to a memo secured by ESPN, bigger lettering on the back of jerseys will return, mismatched gray tops and bottoms will be fixed, see-through pants will be remedied and the trend of the jerseys to collect sweat will be fixed.
